Piritta graduated from Helsinki University of Technology (2009), where she studied bioprocess engineering. She is currently working on mechanical and enzymatic fractionation of brewer’s spent grain (BSG), which is the major side-stream of the brewing industry. She is also studying the technological and physiological functionalities of lignin-enriched fibre preparations.
